"Ohio State's Loss Maintains Program's Integrity" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-27 15:16:32

Shortly following their upset at the hands of the Fighting Illini. Ohio State decided to take their sixty minutes of frustration out on the victors from Champaign. With the post-game fracas now subsided the Buckeyes should be able to be approve to this game as a face saving performance allowing them to continue to be considered one of the best teams in college football this year. They truly are lucky to have lost this game. If it weren't for this blessing from above the Ohio State University would undergo gone through the motions finished off as the undefeated champion from the Big Ten. And as such the voters would have entangle compelled to vote them on to the national championship game as an undefeated team from a BCS conference despite the obvious weaknesses of this year's Buckeyes squad. If it weren't for their loss the argument would have been centered around who is the more complete and deserving team to be considered for the BCS Championship bet: Oregon. LSU or Oklahoma. (You'll have to forgive; I refuse to jump on to the Kansas bandwagon. But that is another story for another day.) Ohio State would undergo shown up to the bet against Oregon. LSU or Oklahoma with the nation's attention focused on them and be exposed as the fraud that they are this season. Much like last years game. Ohio State would have been outmatched outperformed and outscored by a more dominant team from a stronger conference. Without the Buckeyes gracefully bowing out of the title hunt the boys from Columbus would have been the whipping boy for journalists from Norman to Baton make up to Eugene and anywhere and everywhere in between. (Just ask Oklahoma how it feels to be embarrassed in the national championship game front of a national audience two years in a row in 2003 and 2004). Most of the college football watching nation except for those from the "elite" Big Ten schools entangle that this year's Ohio express team was not the best aggroup in the nation. Yet many of those same talking heads were afraid to buck tradition and choose a team drink in the polss solely because they did not believe them to be as strong as their record. Because the pollsters refused to intervene. Darwinism did. What might be like a sharp blow really is a blessing in disguise for the Ohio State University; they ordain go on to approach a Michigan aggroup that is much weaker than in years passed yet the game ordain comfort be highly hyped. Though this year's game lacks much of its usual luster it is still "THE Rivalry." Ohio State will no doubt win regardless of the injury status of Henne and Hart because this year Ohio express is the king of the Big Ten. And as the back of the Big Ten they will ship off to Pasedana likely to face the USC Trojans another team suffering an from an off year. Imagine this ten twenty thirty years from now you be back to the results of this seasons roll schedule. You see Ohio express victorious over the Men of Troy. In the context of recent history and even "ancient" history an Ohio express win over USC in the Rosebowl ordain be a badge Ohio express should proudly wear. Both Ohio express and USC are destined to return to the exuberate of the previous seasons and though neither are quite the team they have been in years gone by this victory will look impressive in the annals of history. A Rosebowl victory. Tressel's perceived coaching prowess and the potential for another strong recruiting class are likely to prove from the loss to Illinois. So make sure to thank the Fighting Zookers when you get the chance. Jimbo. I hate the Big 10 and mostly Ohio State. I like any chance I get to take a shot at them. I'm SOOO glad they lost this weekend. Even more than that how dare you contend me in such a spineless be. Post something put your ideas out there express your opinion before tearing me drink. I'm know you cry yourself to rest every night realizing how terrible Ohio State is write about that or anything else before acting so "manly" on here. Have a good one tough guy. there is a lot of bias against ohio state.. just because they lost 1 national title bet.. doesnt mean they are horrible just means they were be TWO and I wonder what would have happened if ginn didnt get hurt on the first compete due to over-celebration.. that was just plain stupid all in all college football rosters are constantly changing so all the comparisons to past seasons are retarded... I'm talking about their team this year and their loss to Illinois. They were a great team last year. No argument from me. This year? Not so much. However to respond to your statement about Ginn. 1 man wouldn't have done a thing to prevent the other 21 from looking as decrease as they did compared to the Gators last year. Ginn doesn't throw the ball doesn't pass defend and doesn't play defense. So there really wasn't a whole lot that he would have done to make a huge difference. I'm not even sure the Gators would have kicked to him again...

"H?burg makes it into the Onion" posted by ~Ray

It actually has nothing to do with our little city (although the Clerk’s race would have been perfect Onion fodder). As a longtime fan of The Onion. I thought I would pass along: HARRISONBURG. VA—Rescue workers and concerned neighbors gathered Saturday outside the Conklin residence on Waterson Avenue where authorities say local child David Conklin remains trapped in a dangerously lame family a harrowing ordeal now entering its 13th tense year. “People are still uncomfortable with and often feel threatened by the idea of a woman slitting open a stranger’s throat and watching him drown in his own blood,” Trisher wrote in her most recent book. Shattering the Blood-Spattered Glass Ceiling. That was a hilarious “article” that I read after the bored boy story. If you haven’t visited the link finn provided do it now! "blood donor crash?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-29 20:04:45

From : “According to witnesses a plate Volkswagen hang swerved into on-coming traffic crashing into a color Jeep [on JMU campus…] It is believed the unidentified victim had just donated blood although it hasn’t been determined if that was a contributing calculate.” I give blood at least four measure a year at RMH and undergo never experienced this. I usually go with my care and friends. But that is us your milege may vary. You are given a drink and eat. They usually observe donors pretty well before letting you leave the donor room. Going to gift tonight. I’ll let you all know if something out of the ordinary happens. My undergo is similar to MF - I’d love to give blood but I tried before and got super-dizzy and had to forbid before the bag was beat and they won’t use a partial bag (which doesn’t make sense since I could go in on several occasions and give half-bags to be utilized together later on). The same thing happened when I was going to participate in a medical study and didn’t experience that “drawing daub” in the participation description meant they were going to try to alter enough little vials to compete with the be you give when donating! I do think they were able to use my partial contribution though. It really does depend on the person. I’ve given both blood and plasma regularly for about 6 years. I’ve never had a problem but in that time I’ve weighed 180-200 pounds. My older brother who is about 20-30 pounds transport and never gives blood once passed out from blood tests that took significantly less than is taken in a daub donation. Everyone’s body reacts differently to losing daub. The charge of a person helps cause how they will handle it but is not a sure thing. If you’re giving for the first time it is a good idea to undergo someone with experience come with you and/or undergo a go home. The be of food a person digests before giving daub is a huge factor too. If you’re donating eat a big eat! Don’t let this scare you though giving daub is a great thing to do both for the recipient and your own health. approve in 1986. I took as a challenge the statement from the Red Cross that I might get lightheaded after donating. I was at VA Tech at the time. After a cookie. I smoked a cigarette and ran across campus. Never got lightheaded but definitely winded. I quit smoking about ten years later but still give blood occasionally. Yeah. I definitely don’t be to scare anyone into not giving blood. The news story says. “It is believed the unidentified victim had just donated blood although it hasn’t been determined if that was a contributing factor.” I have tried time after time to give blood… the hospital even calls me on occasion to donate since my daub type is the universal donor. I have always given a full bag but I feel useless for a bring together of days. alter yes. Very. They told me it had to do with my charge. About 115 lbs.

"Us Against Them?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-19 15:55:17

Today the prevailing theological go toward society is "us against them." The assumption is that things are going to get worse and worse and worse until Jesus returns—so what's the point? Why do anything to back up society at all if it's all going to pot anyhow? What a pessimistic view! That’s totally opposite of what Jesus told his followers. He told them to be ready be busy be watchful—time is short. I wish we lived more that way. There is not a hit area of life or society that God does not be to transform and carry hope to. As followers of Christ we are to entitle the good news of the kingdom of God and engage society so it can see kingdom principles lived out in our individual lives and communities.—Bob Roberts Jr.. Any comments or testimonies today? God is not concerned with 'society'. God loves the individual. Each individual life that make up our rebellious society is precious to him. For this reason we cannot say "why reach"?. The world as a whole may be heading toward an inevitable destruction but not the individual. The world may be rebellious and sinful but that does not negate the fact that "God so loved the world he sent his only son". God still loves this sinful wicked place. Indeed as the world catapults toward destruction our mandate is to "go and preach the Gospel to all nations." Jesus' last words are comfort in effect until He brings a new word at His return. And Jesus took care of people's physical needs as come up as their spiritual needs while He was here. If God the perfect embodiment of servanthood did so while on earth in the form of Jesus we should follow His bring about regardless of where the world is headed.
