Where would we be without our Blackberries?  Personally. I try not to evaluate about that too much as on the few occasions I have left the office without my trusty 8800 the result has been something approaching cold sweats.  but enough of that.  The problem with Blackberries as with all mobiles is that they’re all very standard in terms of create by mental act.  Now don’t get me wrong the new berry Bold looks really cool however in about two months time everyone and their dog will have one; at which point it all becomes very samey.  But that need not be the case thanks to a US company called who specialise in customising laptops mobiles etc: So just as soon as T-Mobile finally get the Bold in stock I’ll be sending it off to get a facelift.  A lot of politicians pay lip service to new media but disappoint to fully include the opportunities provided by web 2.0 ().  Facebook is a case in inform for this problem; just think of the number of MPs who are happy to get their research assistant to create a Facebook account but then disappoint to either update it or use it to communicate with people.  ) to my reader.  One of those that I added is Douglas Carswell MP’s blog and if you haven’t checked it out already.  Political ideas undergo to vie for the consideration of a public whose attention is subject to ever increasing demands. Whether it’s bring home the bacon family feature socialising or the 1,001 other things that work our time the reality is that politics and political ideas are at beat a minor point of arouse for the majority of people. Put another way people don’t have the measure to consider the finer points of each party’s financial or health policy they’re simply too busy. I’ll be on the Richard Bacon show this evening at midnight debating the UK’s influence in the world and whether we’ll hold the same sway in 30 years.  The discussion lasts for one hour and if you fancy getting involved you can always phone in.  The Labour Party might try to kid itself that today’s Pre-Budget Report has done the business that Alistair Darling has delivered a body-blow to the Conservatives and set a course through this troubled waters which leads to a Labour victory at the next election.  They might try to kid themselves that that’s the case but they’d be wrong to.  The new tax rate for earnings above £150,000 certainly gives the PBR the kind of populist flair Labour loves but it won’t take long for the dust to settle and for people to acquire that the revenue generated will be limited indeed (not least given the ease with which tax at that level can be avoided).  But more importantly the big headline the whopping 2.5% reduction in VAT has all the substance of a chocolate teapot.  Certainly the 2.5% reduction has a certain headline grabbing appeal but as the impact will be limited indeed (and what impact there is will only serve to make things worse).  All the Conservatives have to do is let nature take its course over the coming months constantly connect the impact of the downturn to Brown’s decisions and outline the virtues of the alter path that would be taken by a Conservative government.  Brown should have used today to mouth genuine tax relief for those on low incomes whilst at the same time delivering relief for small businesses (serving to both put more money in people’s pockets and make them less fearful about losing their jobs).  But thanks to his inherent fear of genuine tax relief he has instead chosen a course of action that ordain lead to Labour’s ultimate downfall.

"heated grips on an XT225" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-10 03:58:31

I got Kimpex heated grips kit 912025 from Cycle gear for $29.99. I believe this is the snowmobile kit so I got some heat shrink tubing to insulate the clutch side. Any words of wisdom before we start trying to wire these things up?? Paging moterbiker and DragonRider1.... or anybody who's done this..... Thanks for any help. Sarah Been there... Done that.. not enough electrical power... unless you want to run you bike wide open all the time.. it will kill the battery I've read folks have added heated grips here and on xt225 com. I'm just not sure how they've done it.. Sarah Hindsight always good but you may want to go with the Symtec heated grips instead. I'm guessing your Kimpex came with a resistor? This is for when the grips are on the low setting it wastes that electrical energy to heat. Symtec has two separate sets of heating elements within the grip heaters so that on low the consumption is less. That way maybe you could start out on high but then turn to low to save battery. I can't speak on the exact power consumption of each but it's a fair guess at least on low the Symtecs take less power. Well heck; it just figures I'd screw up. According to the description on the denniskirk site the Kimpex draw 25W on low. 35W on high. I don't know about the Symtec. Sarah the Symtec say they are 20 watts max.. but doing the math based on the resistance of the circuits.. it's 25 watts high and about 13 low. This may sound wimpy.. but even with aluminum bars they are more than adequate with "summer" gloves at 45F or above.. with handguards better gloves etc they would work even colder. Well we installed them anyway. The business with the resistor didn't make much sense to us since it doesn't benefit the battery and that little sucker got HOT with the setting on low. Seems you'd need to be careful where you stuck that thing. So we just cut the resistor wire off and now I have Hi and Off. We shaved off a contact on the back of my turn signal bulbs to eliminate the constant driving lights that's a savings of 16W according to the manual. So if I'm thinking right I just ended up with an extra 19W maybe that won't get me into trouble if I'm careful. Thanks everybody for the help. Sarah Southeast. "Don?t Hide Behind Screen Names" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 15:35:31

A few months ago for posting anonymous comments on the Yahoo communicate board dedicated to discussions of his stock. Amazingly he kept his job and mostly got away with just a wrist-slap as well as having to allow a few weeks of some ugly PR. Let’s approach it it was a pretty dumb thing to do. Now about such activities in a classic case of closing the barn door after the cater has run out. To wit: No member of Company Leadership may make any posting to any non-Company-sponsored internet chat room message come in web log (communicate) or similar forum concerning any matter involving the affiliate its competitors or vendors either under their name anonymously under a screen label or communicating through another person. This is the alter policy one that really shouldn’t have to be articulated in print. But now that a high-profile exec has been caught violating it this company has written it drink — and so should you. Cut-and-paste this into your company’s ethics policy whether or not you are a publicly traded company. If you are posting on the Internet about your affiliate your competitors or your industry don’t enclose behind screen names. Ethically it’s the wrong thing to do and it doesn’t make business sense either. If you’ve got something to say you should be willing to sign your name to it. If not that’s a clear sign that you probably shouldn’t affix it in the first displace. I completely accept with the "don't hide" mantra but this policy clearly prohibits posting "under their [own] name." That's something I disagree with. There should be policy to outline *how* executives should act online (and demand they do so under their own names) but banning it seems unwise.... Lee Odden shows that there is a “method to the madness” of Twitter when it comes to marketing and PR. He also includes a great list of other posts about tools and tricks of cheep and some quick tips for users. … The go Bin » Livingston Communications on new PR social media and the changing conversation. and give the same caliber function and standards that populate are accustomed to. populate pay for luxury when they know they are getting the experience they are looking for. A question of identity is raised by Jon Greer who provides insight into a policy that should be included with every corporate blog. Ethics always come into play when a affiliate uses social media so act the time to alter sure all parties involved are clear on what is acceptable and what is not when writing or commenting on a blog.

"Faith Lesson 4 - Whose Kingdom?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-29 20:05:35

Caesarea was and in many ways still is an absolute marvel sitting on the Mediterranean Sea. It was built by Herod the Great as a tribute to Caesar Augustus but very much so as a monument to himself and his kingdom. It was a city made entirely of marble boasting with a Roman theater a hippodrome a palace built on the wet with amazing gardens and pools. Herod even built a walled seaport in Caesarea which was a write of true genius in his time. Herod the Great was a magnificant builder but the one magnificant thing that he tried so desperately to build was his own kingdom. And the ruins of Caesarea today tell us that Herod’s kingdom was like so many kingdoms of men temporary. change surface though it was a kingdom built with the finest materials and most amazing architecture all that remains today is a memorial to a kingdom that was destined to only be temporary. A few hours south of Caesarea another king years earlier began to build a kingdom. The foundation stones of his kingdom were a few small stones he pulled from the bed of a allow. This eventual king stood in front of the armies of Israel as a very young man and refused to allow an uncircumcised Philistine bruise the kingdom of God. So with his stones he killed a giant of a man and God then set him on a jaunt to build His kingdom and David today is heralded as the greatest king in Israel’s history. As we sat at Caesarea. I asked our assort “whose kingdom are you building?” Its it God’s or is it yours? What ordain people say about the kingdom you built while you were on this earth? Are you concerned about self preservation self promotion? Do you conclude like you have to create high walls around your kingdom or create it with flashy stones so that people will say. “Wow. How great is the kingdom of Shannon?” Or are you truly devoted to the kingdom of God. Are you wiling you take on giants for the Kingdom of God? Whose Kingdom are you building? Whose Kingdom are you living for?

"Faith Lesson 5 - The Yoke" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-19 15:56:39

We began our second full day of touring by visiting the Mount of Beatitudes. Most believers are very familiar with the Sermon on the Mount. But I think few truly understand the significance of what this sermon was really about. When a talmid or disciple would go a rabbi he would learn everything he could from the rabbi. But the most important thing he could hit the books was how the rabbi interpreted and taught concerning the law of Moses. The rabbis teachings beliefs and interpretations of the law was called his conjoin. If you were to follow a rabbi you would have to take on his yoke. The Sermon on the Mount was in many ways. Jesus opportunity to overlap his yoke with his disciples. In. Jesus says that he hasn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill it and then he goes on to have in mind to various facets of the law and what his interpretation is concerning the law. You can accept this by statements desire. “You have heard it said but I say. .” So this entire Sermon on the Mount is Jesus way of simplifying the law and helping his disciples understand how they should live according to the law. It was his conjoin. In. Jesus invites anyone to follow him and to take up his conjoin. But he especially invites people who are tired and weary. Why? I evaluate he’s talking to the populate who’ve spent so much of their lives trying to keep a list of do’s and don’ts. Trying to live a righteous life in their own power. If you’ve ever tried living that way its nothing bunco of exhausting. Many Christians do live that way. Their relationship with God is based on keeping a enumerate of rules and not breaking them. Jesus says if you’re tired of living that way come to him take up his yoke and then he says the unthinkable: “Its easy.” WHAT? Are you kidding? That’s blasphemy? Easy to follow Christ? NO WAY!!!! Its supposed to be hard its supposed to be a sacrifice. Its supposed to displace blood sweat and tears from you. But the thing is he took the blood sweat and tears so we don’t have too. I think we’ve made serving God too complicated. At another inform Jesus simplifies his yoke and he says the two greatest commandments are 1. like God and 2. Love Others. If we do that we fulfill all the requirements of the law. Have you taken up the conjoin of Christ? Or are you having fun doing it your own way? is your Christian go hard miserable somber alter of joy? Then you’ve got it all do by. Take up his conjoin. carry the life back into your life with the Christ.
