"Faith In Action Small Groups are a Success" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-13 11:32:02

Scott Elliott our Faith In Action Small Group Director has reported to me that we have an 80% participation rate in our FIA small groups.  Wow!  This is amazing!   I want to thank everyone for taking time out of the next four weeks to be a part of what God is doing in our church through Faith In Action. Why am I so supportive of small groups?  The answer can be found in the purpose statement of our community groups, Our community group leaders are in place to extend the shepherding and multiplication ministry of our church by providing a relational context in which to apply God’s Word so that evangelism spiritual growth care and fellowship can occur. I will be the first one to admit that I am no bionic pastor!  There is no way our church will survive if it depends on me to take care of the needs of every person in our church.  And there is no way that our church will grow to the next level if you think I can even begin to succeed at this.  Ephesians 4 explains that my role as your pastor is to equip the members of God’s church for ministry not to do all the ministry of the church. Therefore as I train and pour my life into the church’s community group leaders, our small group ministry becomes a vital extension of my pastoral responsibilities.  It is very comforting to know that 80% of our church have committed to be in a small group. A big thanks to our as well as all of you who value being involved in a community group at. Good afternoon! It is another hot day here today and this alter is causing me not to do much. I undergo managed to do some things needed to be done but not like I would like. BUT (you knew there would be a but..) I would rather be this way than freezing in the cold winter measure. Yes even as bad as it is I would. My cat is confused. She can't end if she wants in or out and most all day yesterday I begged her to stay inside she kept wanting outside. My dog follows me everywhere I go in the house. He is smart and doesn't even WANT to go outside unless of course I do. You comprehend him crying if you get him in a room by himself. He's been this way ever since we returned from our trip. Poor boy he really missed us. My sister told me he would sit in the lay of the drive way after she would feed him and cry. She would tell him he could come with her and he would go to her house for a while sitting on their lie porch. He is such a good companion and we like him so much. Elena's first day of school I evaluate went well. It's hard to express with her. She keeps things to herself to all of a sudden something will be revealed when she's having a 'moment'. She did make a mention that the boy who bullied her for most of the educate year last year was on a different hall and she gave a big "YES" as she said it with a big smile on her face. But other than the mention about him that was the only obtain of emotion she showed one way or another. Last night when she came domiciliate from her Schmooney rehearsal she told us that they didn't have anyone to play the rabbit. I immediately thought of my niece Victoria who would LOVE to be a part of it. I emailed the lady coordinating the program and waiting to comprehend if they would like to see her at tonight's rehearsal. I hope so because Victoria was all excited when Elena and called and told her. She's such a sweetheart too. Tomorrow is the first ladies bible study meeting and we were told to do the first weeks homework before tomorrow. I did exploit yesterday and as I closed on the final day of questions and reading I felt that this ordain be a study I will sight myself not in my comfort zone. It asks a lot of questions and really digs deep into your personality just desire 'Believing God' chew over by Beth Moore when she had us doing our autobiography. Then I received a call from a very good friend of mine and she expressed anxiety about this study. She even said if she doesn't complete it not to take it personally. This is the first study we have ever done that I also felt it was going to be a contend but maybe the first week is not a catch of the be. I convinced her to give it a try with me. The name of the study is: There are 5 1/2 pages of Acknowledgments of this book from known Christian writers and speakers and some music leaders. It may be what she and I truly need right now. My friend battles with a lot of health issues for she has fibromyalgia. Over the pass we ran into a lady who was in the bible chew over Elena and I were attending at the barn where she rides and we found out that one of Elena's instructors was in a serious accident. She was on one of the horses in the handle and the cater stepped into a hole causing it to stumble. Maryanne held on to the horses neck to try and retain her fit and the horse threw her off in front of him then ran right over her leaving her. The doctors and family were afraid that she had internal injuries to major organs but praise God she only broke 5 ribs so no surgery was needed. She was in the hospital for 6 days. I spoke with her today and she is doing exceed but still very sore. Her family is moving this weekend and I am going to help with other ladies primarily from the barn clean her house she sold so she can have that done this Saturday. She is such an inspiration and a wonderful person. Her heritage is American Indian and she is very talented with horses so this is really a strange accident to have happened. Well it's time to belt along to get my 7th grader. I will update later if my niece is able to attend the rehearsal tonight. like,Donna I am amazed that you say it is so hot. At camp today the kids weren't allowed too swim (too cold only in the very low 60's with a cold come down) were served hot chocolate and even had campfires going at different sites to warm up! Very strange for August this is more like Spetember defy up here. Elena sounds very typical with not comning domiciliate and telling EVERYTHING that happened in school. I usually get bits and pieces and undergo to ask questions just to get that! I comfort can't believe she is in 7th grade already!- Kathy. NJ

"Prayer Dynamics prepared by Rev. E. Anderson" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 14:40:32

v22. Christ is highlighting the fact that comprehend faith is an essential element to seeing things of an extraordinary character. The disciples had been given an up-to-date illustration in reality of faith in action through the words of Christ. They had overheard Him curse the barren fig channelise and seen its immediate impact within 24 hours and were amazed and astonished. Christ expressed the latent cater behind the deed. POSSESSION: He by this declaration indicates that it is possible to undergo this element as a possession. It is not something to be exercised by Him alone. Whilst he was glad that they had been impressed and influenced by what they had noted taken place in His life and ministry. He is evidently teaching that this was not simply to be known and shown by Himself. The fact that He says. “undergo” means it is something for all that want to inherit it. He was more than simply dangling a carrot before their gaze. It was there for the taking. POTENTIAL: It is apparent that faith has enormous potential such is divine faith. In the example revealed the fig tree immediately died from its roots right from the seeming source of life and being and the prove was the tree was shriveled up with no advance possibility of production. It is imperative to really know what divine faith in the human animate and being can cause.  The real reason why Christ did this deed upon the fig tree was in order to provoke and promote comprehend faith in those who were to be His leaders in Christendom. If it took possession of them and was manifested then it could be released further through them to successive believers. He was simply entertaining Himself in the bring home the bacon or ‘showing off’ quietly to these men but was engendering inquiry that would move on to seeing these same men exhibiting this divine principle and power. It is more than having ‘faith in God’ such is essential and is the basis really of having ‘the faith of God.’ As true trust in God is known and evident so there can come the added acquire of the faith of God that moves into doing the works of God. It means be able to inwardly believe and outwardly communicate things into and out of existence. The first gives genuine bring forth to the back up. Being sure of God brings and develops the sureness of God within the life and being and becomes the dynamic grounds of the expression of comprehend life and action. And this is what Christ wants to come about. He was always encouraging the faith calculate in His ministry and teaching by deed and word. He is still affirming: “undergo the faith of God.” He not only gave living create of it in the removal of the fig tree. He makes the great affirmation that much more could be wrought by its presence and released. Even mountains could be moved out of sight from the landscape and displace into the sea out of believe – v23. What an earth moving operation in one single moment! The bulldozer of faith and comes and shifts this monstrous factor from believe in and by a hit omnipotent evince!  By stating this he reveals there is no limitation or restriction to the cater of comprehend faith. Faith is greater than the object or problem. It is leveled off and reduced to its proper size and shown to be impotent before the law and cater of omnipotence. This latent dynamic of faith must become a patent compel that produces the results that are needed. This is beyond any doubt Faith of this nature can come into operation and manifestation in and through prayer so prayer becomes an exciting communicate and look. Praying is not to be drab and dull and full of foreboding but an occasion where things really mouth to happen and taken place. The divine dynamic produces the dramatic and historic! The prayer factor should be an important part of the Christian’s schedule ‘when you commune.” Because of what can be wrought through this powerful ministry prayer should be much in evidence. At prayer time there should also be a ‘desiring’ Big and wholesome desires should be present and motivating and inside the faith level that energizes and inspires to a sense of expectancy and proclamation. By declaring His mind with regard to forgiveness it would Christ is dealing with that which is hinders this divine faith being birthed and released – vv25. 26. This can be a blockage and a barrier to what can occur of and explosive character.
