October 3. 2007 -- () -- Microsoft () announced on Tuesday that it is offering the Go Live beta 3 release of FastCGI () for Internet Information Server. The Go Live license provides hosting providers with a new component for Microsoft's Web server platform that enables popular application frameworks like PHP to be hosted in a high-performance and reliable manner says the affiliate.
FastCGI is now available as a free download from the IIS community site () and will enable IT professionals to entertain PHP applications on Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6 with increased scalability and security.
